My Song In The Night (Gospel of Luke)

Text: Luke 4: 42-44
GOING TO A DESERTED PLACE
1. An unusual thing noted
a. The Lord Jesus would leave the multitudes after Ministry.
b. He would go to a deserted place (Luke 4:42).
c. This was noted by the Gospel writer Luke.
2. Some reasons why this was practised
a. For quiet meditation and prayer:
i. Reviewing
ii. Reflecting
b. For preparation:
i. For the next ministry.
ii. For God’s leading and blessing.
REQUEST TO REMAIN IN THE CITY OF CAPERNAUM
1. Nazareth rejected the Lord Jesus (Luke 4:28-30).
2. Capernaum wanted Him to stay with them (Luke 4:42).
There was a sharp contrast!
CONSCIOUSNESS OF BEING SENT BY GOD
1. Declining the request
a. The Lord Jesus had to decline this request.
b. He understood their desire to have Him stay in their city.
2. Preaching the Kingdom of God
a. There were many other cities that needed to hear the Gospel.
b. God had sent Him for this purpose (Luke 4:43).
PREACHING THE GOSPEL FAITHFULLY
1. The Lord Jesus preached at other synagogues in Galilee.
2. He was determined to fulfil faithfully what God had sent Him to do.
Thank God for the wonderful example of the faithfulness of the Lord Jesus Christ!

被上帝奉差的意识
1. 拒绝请求
a. 主耶稣必须拒绝这个请求
b. 祂明白他们要祂留下的渴望
2. 传神国的福音
a. 有许多其他城市需要听福音
b. 上帝为了这原因奉差主耶稣 《路加福音 4:43》
忠于传福音
1. 主耶稣在加利利的各会堂传道
2. 祂坚决要实现上帝所奉差祂完成的事
