MEDITATION
Exodus 24:16-18
16 Now the glory of the LORD rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day He called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
17 The sight of the glory of the LORD was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.
18 So Moses went into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. “The glory of the LORD”
a. It rested on Mount Sinai.
b. It remained there.
c. It was like a cloud.
d. It covered the mountain for six days.
2. “The sight of the glory of the LORD”
a. It was like a consuming fire.
b. The cloud was there as well.
It was an awesome sight to behold.
3. The call of the LORD
a. On the seventh day
b. The LORD called Moses
4. The response of Moses
a. He went up to the mountain to be with the LORD.
b. He was there for forty days and forty nights.
It would have required great faith to ascend Mount Sinai to be with the LORD!
