MEDITATION
Exodus 22:29-30
29 “You shall not delay to offer the first of your ripe produce and your juices. The firstborn of your sons you shall give to Me.
30 Likewise you shall do with your oxen and your sheep. It shall be with its mother seven days; on the eighth day you shall give it to Me.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. Firstfruit offering
a. This is a reference to grains and fruits.
b. The first ripened fruit is to be offered to God.
2. Symbolic meaning
a. The first ripened fruit is be offered in faith and in thanksgiving to God.
b. It is offered with a prayer to God for the fullness of His blessings.
c. It is offered in hope and trust that God would continue to bless till harvest.
3. Extension and application I
a. The firstborn son
b. He is to be offered to the Lord:
i. In dedication
ii. In thanksgiving
iii. In faith
iv. In prayer
4. Extension and application II
a. The oxen
b. The sheep
The firstborn animals are to be offered to the Lord in thanksgiving and faith!
5. The first seven days the little offspring are to be nursed by the mother.
a. This is natural
b. The little ox and sheep need to feed
6. On the eighth day
a. These are to be presented to the Lord
b. As an offering of thanksgiving

29你要从你庄稼中的谷和酒榨中滴出来的酒拿来献上，不可迟延。你要将头生的儿子归给我。30 你牛羊头生的，也要这样，七天当跟着母，第八天要归给我。
