Day 563

"My people, go out of the midst of her"

Text: Jeremiah 51:45

A WORD TO THE LORD’S PEOPLE

A word to the remnant of Judah was important. They were exiled there by the LORD. Their exile was over. They must now leave Babylon for it would soon be destroyed.

“My people, go out of the midst of her!
And let everyone deliver himself from the fierce anger of the LORD.
And lest your heart faint,
And you fear for the rumour that will be heard in the land
(A rumour will come one year,
And after that, in another year
A rumour will come,
And violence in the land,
Ruler against ruler).”
