"Found grace in the wilderness"

Text: Jeremiah 31:2

LOOKING AT THE FUTURE

The Captives in exile in Babylon were concerned as to whether there would be a future for them. How would the LORD regard them?

“‘At the same time,’ says the LORD,
‘I will be the God of all the families of Israel,
and they shall be My people.’
Thus says the LORD:
‘The people who survived the sword
Found grace in the wilderness—
Israel, when I went to give him rest.'”
Jeremiah 31:1-2

b) They had found grace in the wilderness.

c) This was how they could have survived.

3. “Israel, when I went to give him rest”

a) God had gone to His people in Babylon.

b) He had chastised them.

c) But He had not abandoned them.
