"Sing, O barren"

Text: Isaiah 54:1

EXHORTATION TO SING

A word of exhortation was given to the women who were not able to have children. Many of those who were barren mourned the fact that they were childless! This call to sing was extraordinary!

“‘Sing, O barren,
You who have not borne!
Break forth into singing, and cry aloud,
You who have not laboured with child!
For more are the children of the desolate
Than the children of the married woman,’ says the LORD.”
