"He gives power to the weak"

Text: Isaiah 40:29

THOSE WHO WAIT ON THE LORD

The problem with ancient Israel was its sinfulness. The nation had turned away from God and had chosen idolatry. The consequences were devastating for the people. But there was a solution. The challenge to the people was to return to the LORD humbly and then learn to wait upon God!

“He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:29-31

3. Those who wait on the LORD.

a) They will see their strength renewed.

b) They will become like the mighty eagles, soaring in the sky.

d) They will walk and not feel faint.

e) The LORD will renew their strength again and again
as they seek God and wait upon Him.
