"God is not unjust to forget your work and labour of love..."

Text: Hebrews 6:10

ALLAYING ALL FEARS

Fears are always difficult to deal with. Once fears arise they must be quelled or they can create deep doubts. The author of Hebrews now turned his attention to allay all fears.

“For God is not unjust to forget your work and labour of love
which you have shown toward His name, in that you have
ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
Hebrews 6:10

1. God is not unjust to forget

a) There should be no fears concerning how God would judge our life.
b) God is not unjust.
c) He would not forget the good works that accompany salvation.

2. Good works that evidence salvation

a) Good works would be in mind here.
b) Labour of love:-
i) The believer would have the love of God in his heart.
ii) This love would cause him to be moved to labour for the Lord.
c) Shown toward His name
i) The true child of God would be most conscious of God’s name.
ii) He would always seek to bring glory and honour to His name.
d) Ministered to the saints
i) The true believer develops a new and special sense of concern for the saints.
ii) Where he sees genuine needs he would seek to help out.
e) And do minister

This sense of genuine concern is a lasting one. The desire to minister comes naturally to the believer. He would always seek to minister faithfully!
