2 Thus says the LORD who made you
And formed you from the womb, who will help you:
‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant;
And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

Isaiah 44:1-2

1. We have a new text to read

2. It is connected to Isaiah 43:1-7

3. The Redemptive Plan of God is revealed step by step

a) We have Redemption

i) We are delivered from our sins

ii) God regards us as His children

iii) God establishes His people with great love

b) We can overcome

i) Our fears

ii) Our problems

iii) Our sins

4. The special privilege God has given us

a) God has chosen us to be His servants

b) This is high honour indeed

5. God has many good servants

a) Good kings

b) Holy priests

c) Fearless prophets

d) He now invites all believers to serve Him

6. Many are afraid of serving God

a) Fear of failure

b) Fear of problems that would come

7. God’s assurance is given strongly

a) He had chosen us to be His servants

b) He will also help us to serve Him well

c) We need not yield to our fears

8. God’s reminders

a) He made and formed us

b) He knows what we are able to do

c) He will offer divine help

d) God regards us with deep affection (“Jeshurun” is an affection name)
