Day 69

"Abba, Father !"

Text: Galatians 4:6c

THE SPIRIT OF HIS SON

The redemption that Christ wrought brought about our new status as “sons of God”. A very special feature is highlighted in the following text.

And because you are sons, God has sent forth
the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out ‘Abba, Father!’

Galatians 4:6

Paul wrote a similar word in his letter to the Romans.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear,
but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.

Romans 8:14-16
