"I will feed them in good pasture"

Text: Ezekiel 34:14

BRINGING BACK THE FLOCK OF GOD

The Lord revealed clearly His goal. He would search all over the world where His people were scattered. He would rescue them and bring them back to their land.

“And I will bring them out from the peoples
and gather them from the countries,
and will bring them to their own land;
I will feed them on the mountains of Israel,
in the valleys and in all the inhabited places of the country.
I will feed them in good pasture,
and their fold shall be on the high mountains of Israel.
There they shall lie down in a good fold
and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.”
Ezekiel 34:13-14

1. The scattered flock.

a) They were scattered far and wide.

i) Some were refugees.

ii) Others were sold as slaves.

iii) Still others were prisoners-of-war.

b) The Lord’s work outlined.

i) He will bring them back home.

ii) He will gather them.

iii) He will feed them in Israel.

iv) They will dwell in the hills and valleys of their homeland again.

v) They will inhabit their own homeland again.

2. Glorious promises from God.

a) God will feed them in good pasture land.

b) Their fold would grow and even move to the hilly regions.

c) They will lie down in safety.

d) They would feed well in rich pastures.
