"Let him who thinks he stands..."

Text: 1 Corinthians 10:12

NECESSARY HUMILITY

It is altogether too easy to think that we are strong spiritually, and that we would not fall into sin like the children of Israel in the days of Moses. Paul warned against having such a mindset.

“Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man;
but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond
what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way
of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
1 Corinthians 10:12-13

ii) It is important that we remember God’s faithfulness when we face testing (temptation).
c) God’s Will

ii) He tests us so that our faith can emerge as tried gold.
iii) He will not allow us to be tested beyond our capacity.
iv) He will be with us in all our trials and tribulations.
v) He will make a special way of escape when things seem impossibly difficult.
vi) He will enable us to bear the trials of life.
