Bible Reading:
5 Fear not, for I am with you;
I will bring your descendants from the east,
And gather you from the west;6 I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’
And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’
Bring My sons from afar,
And My daughters from the ends of the earth—7 Everyone who is called by My name,
Whom I have created for My glory;
I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”Isaiah 43:5-7
1. We have a repeat reading in Isaiah 43:5
a) This Repeat Reading offers us a “connection” to the other two verses
b) The context is that of God gathering the scattered children of Israel back to their Promised Land
2. From all four points of earth, God will regather the children of Israel
a) From the East
“I will bring your descendants from the East”
Isaiah 43:5
b) From the West
“And gather you from the West”
Isaiah 43:5
c) From the North
“I will say to the North”
Isaiah 43:6
d) From the South
“And to the South, ‘Do not keep them back”
Isaiah 43:6
3. A new creation by God
a) This was a great Divine Plan revealed
b) God explains this Plan of Regathering the scattered children of Israel
4. A special divine Proclamation
a) He has called each person by name
b) He has created all who are His
c) The word “formed” suggests that God has especially designed the vessels
d) All have been created to display the magnificent glory of God
HOW MAY WE RESPOND MEANINGFULLY?
1. Overcome Unbelief
a) It is hard for some to believe in a Divine Plan
b) Many have seen war and the terrible ravages of war
c) Overcome negative influences by exercising a strong faith
2. Cultivate a Victorious Outlook
a) An outlook based on Faith in God
b) May this Outlook enable us to live triumphantly
