PRECIOUS IN MY SIGHT

Text: Isaiah 43

GOD’S REGARD OF HIS PEOPLE

One of the most important truths to keep close to our hearts is found in this glorious text. How wonderful it is to know that we matter very much to God!

4 Since you were precious in My sight,

You have been honored,

And I have loved you;

Therefore I will give men for you,

And people for your life.

5 Fear not, for I am with you;

I will bring your descendants from the east,

And gather you from the west;

6 I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’

And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’

Bring My sons from afar,

And My daughters from the ends of the earth—

7 Everyone who is called by My name,

Whom I have created for My glory;

I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”     Isaiah 43:4-7

  1. There may be great afflictions in life

a) We may feel we are far away

b) That we are scattered by the winds to the far corners of the earth

  1. God reminds us of these glorious truth

a) That we are precious in His sight

b) That He has honoured us (by calling us His children)

c) That He has loved us

d) That He has called us by name

e) That He has created us for His glory

HOLDING FAST TO THESE GREAT TRUTHS

  1. Let us hold these truths close to our hearts
  1. Let us meditate on them often
  1. Let us draw nearer to the Lord amidst all the afflictions of life
