"It is done"

Text: Revelation 16:17

THE SEVENTH ANGEL

The last of the angels poured out his bowl of wrath. The seventh angel poured out the wrath of God “into the air”.

“Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air,
and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven,
from the throne, saying, ‘It is done!’
And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings;
and there was a great earthquake,
such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred
since men were on the earth.”
Revelation 16:17-18

1. A quick Review of the Bowls of Wrath

a) The 1st Bowl
A Loathsome Sore Revelation 16:2

b) The 2nd Bowl
“The Sea turns to blood” Revelation 16:3

c) The 3rd Bowl
“The freshwater springs turn to blood” Revelation 16:4

d) The 4th Bowl
“Men are scorched” Revelation 16:6

e) The 5th Bowl
“Darkness and Pain” Revelation 16:10

f) The 6th Bowl
“The Euphrates dries up” Revelation 16:12

g) The 7th Bowl
“A Great earthquake” Revelation 16:18

2. “It is done”

a) A loud voice then came from heaven.

b) It declared that all the 7 Bowls of Wrath had been poured out successfully.

c) All that God commanded had been fully carried out!

3. A great and mighty earthquake.

a) Many earthquakes have occurred in the past.

b) But none can compare to this “great and mighty earthquake”.

c) This would be the most devastating earthquake yet!
