"Pour out the bowls of the wrath of God"

Text: Revelation 16:1

A COMMAND FROM HEAVEN

The Seven angels were ready to obey the Lord’s command. A loud voice from the Temple in heaven rang out the commandment to pour out the bowls of wrath.

“Then I heard a loud voice from the temple
saying to the seven angels,
‘Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.’
So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth,
and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men
who had the mark of the beast
and those who worshiped his image.”
Revelation 16:1-2

c) God has given Mankind every opportunity to repent and to return.

d) The outpouring of God’s wrath is warranted.

3. The first Bowl of the wrath of God.

a) “A foul and loathsome sore” came upon the worshippers of the beast.

b) The worshippers had chosen to worship the Beast of the Sea.

c) These worshippers had the mark of the Beast on them.

d) They were clearly and easily identifiable.

e) There was no mistaking the people who would suffer from the first Bowl of wrath of God.

f) God’s justice makes no mistakes.

g) The righteous need not fear this first Bowl of wrath.
