STREAMS IN THE DESERT

A GLORIOUS PROPHECY

A glorious prophecy was given about what the Messianic Saviour would do when He comes. This prophecy was noted by the Gospel writers. Hence, they took particular note of the Miracles performed by the Lord Jesus.

5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,

And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer,

And the tongue of the dumb sing.

For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,

And streams in the desert.

7 The parched ground shall become a pool,

And the thirsty land springs of water;

In the habitation of jackals, where each lay,

There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.     Isaiah 35:5-7

1. The Miracles of the Lord Jesus

a) The blind receives their sight

b) The ears of the deaf hear again

c) The lame walks again

d) The tongue of the dumb sings

2. The special touch of the Lord’s hands

a) Water came to the wilderness of many lives

b) Streams came to deserts

c) Parched grounds became pools

d) Thirsty parcels of land had springs of water

1. To appreciate afresh the Lord’s blessings

2. To find fresh joy in our faith in God

3. To share the light of salvation in a dark world
