"I will give you a new heart"

Text: Ezekiel 36:26

A NEW HEART AND SPIRIT FROM GOD

God’s plan to restore Israel was breathtaking! The Lord had looked into every detail of His great plan to restore the nation of Israel.

“I will give you a new heart
and put a new spirit within you;
I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh
and give you a heart of flesh.
I will put My Spirit within you
and cause you to walk in My statutes,
and you will keep My judgments and do them.”
Ezekiel 36:26-27

1. The old heart with all its characteristics must go:

a) Devious and deceitful.

b) Stubborn and unrepentant.

c) Foolish and selfish.

d) Stony and hard.

2. A new heart would be given.

a) A heart of faith and devotion.

b) A heart of love and obedience.

c) A heart of commitment and consecration.

d) A heart of flesh that is sensitive to God and faithful.

3. A new spirit.

a) Born again.

b) Born from above.

c) Born to begin a fresh new relationship of faith and love.

4. The Holy Spirit will also be given.

a) He will be given to the redeemed.

b) He will cause a renewed Israel to walk in His statutes.

c) The Spirit of God would enable them to keep His judgments and to put them into practice.

d) His ministry would be of immense significance and value.
