A STRENGTH TO THE NEEDY

READING THE BOOK OF ISAIAH
We will be studying the Book of Isaiah in the Church Family Camp, at Le Grandeur, Johor (11-16 March 2018). Today’s Meditation is taken from Isaiah 25.
For You have been a strength to the poor,
A strength to the needy in his distress,
A refuge from the storm,
A shade from the heat;
For the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against a wall. Isaiah 25:4
- The prophecy of war and hard times
a) One of the many prophecies Isaiah proclaimed was war
b) The enemies were called “the terrible ones”

ii) The heat

- Many suffer in times of war
a) The poor suffer even more
b) They become even more needy
c) They have no resources to fall back on
d) Except the LORD their God
- The LORD would not fail His people who trust in Him
a) He would be their strength in distress

c) He would both their refuge and shade

The Book of Isaiah offers many rich and profound lessons about the Lord our God. Let us seek to do our part to prepare ourselves for the Family Camp.
