#3 WHEN THE LORD HAS WASHED AWAY THE FILTH
The need to wash the filth of sin was explained to everyone;
The purging of the sin of shedding of blood just had to be done.
The spirit of judgment discerned between the good and the bad;
The spirit of burning made the sinful sad but the righteous glad.
The Lord had to do this work of cleansing before His New Creation;
His Plan was to create a new Zion, a glorious and holy Habitation!
He who dwells in Zion must be holy because he is truly blessed;
The Branch of the Lord, the Messiah would see to its progress.
The Lord would especially create a Cloud and smoke in the Day;
And at Night the shining of a flaming fire to keep enemies at bay!
His glory would be for a covering for the People He has chosen;
His powerful Presence would remind them of the reality of Heaven.
He will create a Tabernacle to give them shade from the heat;
It would be a special place of refuge for those who are beat.
It would be a wonderful shelter from the storm and rain;
The righteous cannot but break forth in a joyous refrain!
