#13 THE LORD IS MY LIGHT AND MY SALVATION
We seek many things throughout our life;
Peace amidst fear; Calm amidst Strife;
Courage against enmity; Light in the Darkness;
We place our trust in the LORD’s faithfulness!
In the hustle and bustle of our strivings;
We sometimes fail to hear God speaking!
He says gently to our heart, “Seek My face!”
The heart must be still; the mind must not race!
“Your face, O LORD, I will seek” must be our reply;
For the Lord’s forgiveness, we must utter this cry!
We have forgotten what it means to hear God speak;
His Face is what we must train our hearts to seek!
The LORD will then by our Light and our Salvation;
We do not need to fear the greatest tribulation.
God will be our strength and we need not fear;
He is beside us and He will give us much cheer!
