“Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well-pleasing to Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:9

(III) MOTIVATION TO HAVE A LIFE WELL-PLEASING TO GOD

1. Because of our Glorious Immortal Hope (2 Corinthians 5:1-8)

2. Because we must appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10)

a) To give an account for our life on earth

b) To receive from the Lord His commendation or otherwise

3. Because of the terror (fear) of the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:11)

4. Because of the love of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:14)

a) A love that compels

b) He gave His life for sinners

(IV) THE UNMOTIVATED LIFE

1. Lacks drive

2. Lacks dynamism

3. Lacks discipline
