Title: “I will exalt You” Isaiah 25:1

EVERY REASON TO EXALT THE LORD

1. Because the LORD God is Personal
O LORD, You are my God
I will exalt You, I will praise Your name (Isaiah 25:1)

2. Because of the mighty deeds of God
You have done wonderful things (Isaiah 25:1)

a) Destruction of mighty but wicked cities (Isaiah 25:2-3, 5, 7)
b) You have been a strength for the poor (Isaiah 25:4a)
c) A refuge from the storm (Isaiah 25:4b)
d) A shade from the heat (Isaiah 25:4c)

3. Because of the things God will do in the future

a) A feast for His people in His holy mountain (Isaiah 25:6)
b) He will swallow up death forever (Isaiah 25:8a)
c) He will wipe away all tears (Isaiah 25:8b)

PRACTICE OF WAITING ON THE LORD

1. Behold, this is our God
We have waited for Him (Isaiah 25:9a)

2. He will save us
This is the LORD (Isaiah 25:9b)

3. We have waited for Him
We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation (Isaiah 25:9c)

O LORD, we have waited for You (Isaiah 26:8b)

A GREAT SONG OF JOYOUS HOPE AND TRUST IN GOD

1. A strong city
We have a strong city (Isaiah 26:1a)

2. Salvation
God will appoint our salvation (Isaiah 26:1b)

3. Perfect peace
You will keep him in perfect peace
Whose mind is stayed on You (Isaiah 26:3)

4. Trust
Trust in the LORD forever
For in YAH, the LORD is everlasting strength (Isaiah 26:4)

5. Desire of our soul
The desire of our soul is for Your name
And for the remembrance of You (Isaiah 26:8)

With my soul I have desired You in the night,
Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early (Isaiah 26:9)
