A COVENANT TO THE PEOPLE
It was the LORD who Called the Messiah;
The Lord Jesus would be sent as the Saviour.
His work would be most challenging;
But the Father would be upholding!
The Messiah would come to open blind eyes;
That sin has blighted vision, many did not realise.
There were those who were physically blind;
Many others were caught in a spiritual bind!
The Messiah would be given as a Covenant;
This difficult task was truly most important!
In the New Covenant, Gentiles would be included;
For too long, Gentiles had been neglected!
The Messiah was true to His life’s Calling;
He knew that His work would be challenging.
But it would be worth the sacred sacrifice;
If at the end, many have transformed lives!
