WHEN ONE IS TESTED
Abraham was singled out as an example;
Faith in the LORD was his personal principle.
He had discovered Faith along the way;
He sought to practise it day by day.
There were inevitable mistakes made in life;
He had to bear the consequential strife.
But he held fast to his faith in the LORD;
He determined that he would obey God.
There came a huge test from the LORD;
Abraham was asked to make a sacrifice to God.
But this time it was not a lamb that was requested;
Isaac, his only begotten son was demanded!
Abraham obeyed the voice of the LORD;
He would even sacrifice Isaac to God!
His Faith told him to trust God fully;
Such great Faith is seen most rarely!
