I WILL OFFER YOU BURNT SACRIFICES
The Psalmist remembered the Scriptures gratefully;
He recalled the mighty deeds of God reverentially.
The children of Israel experienced the works of God;
They were miraculously protected by the Lord!
The Lord’s eyes were on His people all the time;
They were His treasure, the object of Love Divine.
God’s safe-keeping and provision were deeply moving;
The heart and soul should be filled with thanksgiving!
The Psalmist was deeply moved by what he had read;
He traced the paths of affliction that they had tread.
The Lord had tested them and refined them as silver;
The Divine plan was to see them as priceless treasure.
The Psalmist was moved by what he had read and learned;
His vow was to offer burnt sacrifices to the God of Heaven.
He determined that he would fulfil what he had vowed to God;
He would never trifle with He whose name was the LORD!
