FATHER, GLORIFY YOUR NAME
The Lord Jesus gave us a great example;
To glorify God the Father was His principle.
In all He said and did in His ministry;
His focus was to glorify God committedly.
The hour of His suffering and death drew near;
A part of Him was troubled but there was no fear.
He sought to address the troubledness that came;
He was determined to glorify His Father’s name.
He cried out, “Father, glorify Your name;”
This prayer was not uttered in vain.
The Father heard the words of His Son;
He would sustain glory till all is done!
May our hearts seek to glorify God’s name too;
This will reflect a heart and faith that is true.
Glorifying God’s name will give us a great focus;
Let us seek to live as people who are righteous!
