FROM GLORY TO GLORY

Removing Of A Spiritual Veil

Spiritual blindness stops people from coming to believe in the Lord Jesus. It is like a veil that has covered the spiritual eyes of those who do not believe. For generations, this is a sad reality that the people of Israel have been plagued with.

“But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.”
2 Corinthians 3:15-16

Even today, when the Jews read the books of Moses, the “eyes” of their heart continue to be veiled. However, when a person truly turns to the Lord Jesus, there will come spiritual enlightenment and this “veil” will be taken away. It will be taken away when there is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Seeing The Lord Jesus As Glorious

“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord”
2 Corinthians 3:17-18

When the veil has been removed from a person, he will be able to see the Lord Jesus for who He really is. He will comprehend and perceive the Lord Jesus as truly glorious. In Him and through the Spirit of the Lord, a new Christian will come to appreciate the spiritual liberty that he has from the law and from sin. With enlightened spiritual eyes, we will see the glory of the Lord. We will behold how gracious and wonderful He is. We will marvel at His truths.

Transforming Bit By Bit

“Are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory”
2 Corinthians 3:18

As we see the glory of the Lord Jesus, we would also desire to be like Him. Our quest would be to go through a slow but steady process of being transformed. The word “transformed” in the Greek is where we get the English word “metamorphosis”. There will be a total transformation from one level of glory to another higher level of glory. We will be transformed to reflect the image of the Lord Jesus. We will become more and more like Him. Let’s seek the Lord and His grace to transform us.

Yielding To The Work Of The Holy Spirit

“Just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 3:18

This transformation comes through the work of the Spirit of God. This work of changing cannot be done on our own. God’s Spirit will work in our lives as we yield to Him. Our challenge is to submit to the leading of the Spirit. The Spirit of God will write upon our hearts bit by bit through His servants. He will bring tremendous life to us. Young people, let’s seek to relate to the Spirit of God even more. Let’s yield our spirit to the Spirit of God that we may become more and more like Christ.
