A Celebration Of A Life Of Hope

The Chinese New Year period always brings a sense of hope in the air. The Chinese believe that the start of the Lunar New Year brings in a new hope of prosperity and advancement in life. As Christians, we celebrate a greater hope… a life full of hope in God’s promises.

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
Hebrews 10:23

Whatever the Lord has promised, He is faithful to perform them. We can hold fast to our confession of hope in the Lord without wavering. As we begin our Chinese New Year, we can celebrate a life of hope based on the promises of God.

Grabbing Every Opportunity To Worship Together

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some”
Hebrews 10:25

Our hope in the Lord must become a strong basis for us to worship together. The writer of Hebrews explained how important it was for Christians to do this. There were people who had forsaken assembling together as a Church. For Bethany, we must grab every opportunity to meet together, worship the Lord and celebrate life. This Saturday afternoon, at 3 pm, the whole Church is coming together to celebrate Chinese New Year. Let’s make the effort to come and worship the Lord with a great sense of joy.

Stirring Love And Good Works

“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works”
Hebrews 10:24

Meeting together as a Church is also a time where we can “stir things up” in one another’s life. We all need encouragement to go on to higher levels of faith and service. It should be our commitment to stir each other to grow in our love for the Lord and for His people. Through worship and fellowship, we can encourage each other to do good works. Let’s take the time to be together and seek to do these things.

Exhorting One Another

“But exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:25

Meeting together to celebrate Chinese New year is also a good time to exhort each other. As we enter into the Lunar New Year, we must also be conscious that the Lord Jesus will return soon. Let’s take the time to exhort each other to live our lives well. If we personally need to be encouraged, then this Saturday’s meeting can be a great time of being encouraged. Let’s seek to celebrate Chinese New Year together as a Church.
