When He Prepared The Heavens, I Was There

This is a picture of the super moon that I managed to take in the early morning of 15 November 2016 at the roof of our Church. It was basically slightly bigger and brighter than normal. I was glad that I was able to take this picture of the moon just before it set. When we look at the moon and all the stars in the night sky, we can’t help but acknowledge that there was great wisdom in creating all that we see.

“When He prepared the heavens, I was there, when He drew a circle of the face of the deep…” Proverbs 8:27

“Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman; and I was daily His delight”   Proverbs 8:30

In this portion of Scripture from Proverbs 8, wisdom is personified as a master craftsman. From the beginning of time, the Lord God had already possessed her.   Before anything was created, wisdom was already established from eternity.   When the Lord God prepared the moon and the stars in the heavens and the great circle of the earth (the equator), wisdom was with the Lord God as a master craftsmen.   And the Lord rejoiced daily because of this wisdom that He possessed (Genesis 1).   The Lord God with excellence of wisdom crafted out the universe and the earth.

“BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO KEEP MY WAYS”

“Now therefore, listen to me, my children, for blessed are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise, and do not disdain it. Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favour from the Lord. But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul ; all those who hate me love death.” Proverbs 8:32-35

Great wisdom was what God had from eternity past. He understood her worth and delighted in her.   Therefore, we should not disdain wisdom but seek to learn from the voice of wisdom. We are meant to be on the alert to learn from her at any time. When we are able to hold fast to her, we would choose that which is excellent and as a result, be specially blessed.   The person who waits to learn lessons of wisdom will find abundant life and will obtain favour from the Lord.   Those who refuse to follow the way of wisdom will wrong their own soul. They would end up with death.   Young people, let’s never disdain the voice of wisdom. Let’s learn to listen to people who can teach us much wisdom from the Scriptures and seek to live our life carefully that we may live a blessed life. We too can rejoice daily in wisdom.
