Serving As One Body In Christ
This photo was taken on the 17th of March! Just one day before Bethany 4’s Dedication! A call was made for all to help with the clean-up of the church in preparation for this special event and many responded, both young and old, by coming together to clean the Lord’s house faithfully, with much joy!
As I observe these forms of service out of love for the Lord’s house and His work, I am reminded of this text:
Ephesians 4:16
from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
Besides the people who support Bethany’s logistical needs, we also have many who support Bethany in other ways! Over the past 2 years, we’ve often heard Pastor mention the offerings given by church members in support of the Bethany 4 building project. To see how many would give with joy, being moved by the Spirit to support the Lord’s work, my heart is filled with a tremendous sense of thankfulness for God’s special provision.
Bethany has grown both spiritually and physically over the years, and this was made possible through the active contributions from each and every member of the church! When each one serves with love for the Lord and a consciousness of being part of a united body in Christ, there is effective work and growth in the church.
The Lord has blessed me with a precious church of which I can be a part of, shown me what it means to serve Him faithfully through the examples of fellow brethren in Bethany and it is my heart’s desire to likewise do my part in Bethany moving forward, in hope that the Lord’s work in Bethany will continue to grow!
