Powerful reasons for us to be one
“Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,” (Phil 2:1)
1. Consolation in Christ…It all begins with being in Christ and finding exhortation
2. Comfort of love…In Christ, we can experience comfort of love
3. Fellowship of the Spirit…Through love, there is fellowship with each other in the Holy Spirit
4. Affection…It is in fellowship that we are able to experience affection
5. Mercy…As we experience affection, we are able to show mercy to others
The personal plea of Paul for oneness
“fulfil my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.” (Phil 2:2)
