RECEIVING ONE ANOTHER (Romans 15:7)

1. As Christ also received us

2. To the glory of God

CHRIST JESUS AS A SERVANT (Romans 15:8)

1. He became a servant to the circumcision

2. For the truth of God

3. To confirm the promises made to the fathers

CHRIST JESUS AND GENTILES (Romans 15:9)

1. Mercy showed to the Gentiles

2. That the converted Gentiles might glorify God too

3. Ministry of Christ to the Gentiles prophesied in the written Scriptures

4. Four texts were cited to support this view that Gentiles were in God’s Divine Plan

a) Romans 15:9// Psalm 18:49
I will confess to You among the Gentiles// give thanks
b) Romans 15:10// Deuteronomy 32:43
Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people// Same words
c) Romans 15:11// Psalm 117:1 (Psalm 117 is the shortest Psalm)
Praise the LORD all you Gentiles// Same words

He who shall rise to rein over the Gentiles// There shall come forth a Rod
