THE RELEVANCE OF THE SCRIPTURES

1. And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness” (Romans 4:22)

2. And it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him

3. But also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him, who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,
Who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification (Romans 4:24-25)

i) The Scriptures are of eternal value and significance
ii) They are valid and relevant
b) Check content of faith
i) Do we know?
ii) Do we believe?
iii) Do we believe that God raised up the Lord Jesus from the dead
iv) Do we believe that Jesus had to die because of our “offenses” (sins/ iniquities/ transgressions)?
v) Do we believe that Jesus was raised from the dead- for our justification?
