Text: Hebrews 3:1-6

1. Moses

a) Faithful in all His house
b) Commendation of Moses for his faithfulness (Hebrews 3:5)
c) But he was only “a servant” (Hebrews 3:5)
d) He won a good testimony (Hebrews 3:5)

2. Christ Jesus

a) He was faithful (Hebrews 3:2)
b) He was faithful to God who appointed Him (Hebrews 3:2)
c) He was counted as worthy of more glory (Hebrews 3:3)

3. Jesus as the builder of the house

a) He who built the house has more honour than the house (Hebrews 3:3)
b) He who built all things is God (Hebrews 3:4)

4. Christ’s glory

a) As the Son of God (Hebrews 3:6a)
b) As the builder of His own house (Hebrews 3:6b)
c) As Son of His own house (Hebrews 3:6c)

5. Part of the house of Christ

a) We are part of that house Christ is building (Hebrews 3:6d)
b) If we hold fast the confidence of our hope
And rejoice in the confidence of this hope firm to the end (Hebrews 3:6e)
c) These are not impossible things to do:
i) Holding fast our hope
ii) Holding fast with confidence
iii) Rejoicing in the confidence of this hope
iv) Firm to the end
