PROPHECY CONCERNING THE VOICE IN THE WILDERNESS

1. Matthew’s Perspective

This is he who was spoken by the prophet Isaiah
The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
Prepare the way of the LORD;
Make His paths straight.        
Matthew 3:3

2. Mark’s Perspective

As it is written in the Prophets:
Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,
Who will prepare Your way before You.
The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
Prepare the way of the LORD;
Make His paths straight.         
Mark 1:2-3

3. Luke’s Perspective

As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet saying:
The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
Prepare the way of the LORD;
Make His paths straight.
Every valley shall be filled
And every mountain and hill shall be brought low;
The crooked places shall be made straight
And the rough ways smooth;
And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.          
Luke 3:4-6
