Psalm 33:10

1. Human wisdom

2. Worldly wisdom

3. Limited

4. They are of no permanent effect when God wills against them

THE COUNSEL OF THE LORD

Psalm 33:11

1. It stands forever

2. His plans reflect His heart

THE NATION WHOSE GOD IS THE LORD

Psalm 33:12

1. Many nations acknowledge God

2. But few practise faith in the Lord

3. Israel’ privilege

a) He chose Israel
b) He chose it as His own inheritance

4. Same privilege given

a) The Church
b) Individual believers

GOD’S INVOLVEMENT

Psalm 33:13

1. He looks from Heaven, His dwelling place

2. He sees all the sons of men

3. He fashions the human heart individually

4. He considers all their works

TRUE SAFETY

Psalm 33:16-17

1. Where it is not found

a) In the size of the army
b) In man’s great strength
c) In horses

2. True safety

a) In the LORD
b) In the name of the LORD   (Psalm 20:7)
