FOCUS: GOD AS THE SUPREME JUDGE

1. You sat on the throne judging in righteousness   (Psalm 7:4)

2. The LORD shall judge the peoples   (Psalm 7:8)

3. God is the just Judge   (Psalm 7:11)

BRINGING A CASE TO GOD AS THE JUDGE

1. Persecution   (Psalm 7:1)

2. Compared to a lion that tears its prey apart   (Psalm 7:2)

3. Rage of the enemies   (Psalm 7:6)

4. The activities of the wicked   (Psalm 7:14-16)

a) He brings forth iniquity
b) He conceives trouble
c) He brings forth falsehood
d) He digs a pit
e) He is violent

GOD’S ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE WICKED

1. He is angry with the wicked every day   (Psalm 7:11)

2. He will fight the wicked if there is no repentance   (Psalm 7:12-13)

a) He will sharpen His sword
b) He bends His bow and makes it ready
c) He also prepares for Himself instruments of death
d) He makes His arrows into fiery shafts

3. The judgment of the wicked

a) He falls into the ditch that he made   (Psalm 7:15)
b) His trouble returns to his own head   (Psalm 7:16)
c) His violent dealing returns to his crown   (Psalm 7:16)

PRAYING TO GOD AS JUDGE

1. Checking of our own heart

a) If I have done this   (Psalm 7:3)
b) If there is iniquity in my hands   (Psalm 7:3)
c) If I have repaid evil to the one at peace   (Psalm 7:4)
d) If I have plundered my enemy without cause   (Psalm 7:4)

2. No one above the law

a) Let the enemy pursue me and overtake me   (Psalm 7:5)
b) Let him trample my life to the earth   (Psalm 7:5)
c) Lay my honour to the dust   (Psalm 7:5)

3. Judging from the Lord

a) Judge me according to my righteousness   (Psalm 7:8)
b) According to my integrity within me   (Psalm 7:8)
c) The righteous God tests the hearts and minds   (Psalm 7:9)
d) He saves the upright in heart   (Psalm 7:10)

4. Strong and urgent Pleas

a) Save me   (Psalm 7:1)
b) Deliver me   (Psalm 7:1)
c) Arise, lift Yourself up   (Psalm 7:6)
d) Rise up for me to the judgment
Which You have commanded   (Psalm 7:6)
e) For the sake of the congregation   (Psalm 7:7)
f) Let wickedness come to an end   (Psalm 7:9)
g) Establish the just   (Psalm 7:9)

5. Trust and Confidence in the Lord

a) O LORD my God, in You I put my trust   (Psalm 7:1)
b) My defence is of God (Psalm 7:10)
c) I will praise the LORD
According to His righteousness   (Psalm 7:17)
d) And will sing praise to the name
