3. Who may abide in the Presence of God?   (Psalm 15:1)

A PAINFUL LESSON

1. The attempt to bring the Ark of the LORD into Jerusalem   (2 Samuel 6)

a) The Ark was in Baale Judah
b) It was better known as Kirjath Jearim (in the land of Benjamin)

2. Things prepared

a) New cart
b) Musicians

3. The stumbling of the cart

a) Uzzah touched the Ark
b) He died for his error

4. David’s response

a) Anger
b) Fear

5. The house of Obed Edom

a) It took in the sacred Ark
b) God blessed the family of Obed Edom

A SECOND ATTEMPT

1. Bearers of the Ark were found

2. Worship was given

3. Great joy found

4. The Ark of the Lord entered into Jerusalem safely

5. It was settled in the Tabernacle David had made

LESSONS LEARNED
(Resulting in Psalm 15)

1. The worshipper God will bless

a) He walks uprightly
b) He works righteousness
c) He speaks truth in his heart   (Psalm 15:2)
d) He does not backbite with his tongue
e) He does no evil to his neighbour
f) He does not take up a reproach against his friend   (Psalm 15:3)
g) A view person is despised
h) He honours those who fear the LORD
i) He keeps his vows   (Psalm 15:4)
j) He does not put out his money to usury
k) He does not take a bribe   (Psalm 15:5)
