God’s Judgment Declared to Aaron and Moses

GOD’S JUDGMENT DECLARED TO AARON AND MOSES

1. Judgment of the Children of Israel

a) This evil congregation   (Numbers 14:27)
b) Complaining against Me   (Numbers 14:27)

2. Just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you   (Numbers 14:28)

3. Death

a) Those who keep complaining will die in the wilderness   (Numbers 14:29)
b) From 20 years and above   (Numbers 24:29)

4. Exception

a) Caleb the son of Jephunneh
b) Joshua the son of Nun   (Numbers 24:30)

5. The little ones (20 years and younger)

a) They will enter the land
b) They will not be victims (as opined by the complainers)   (Numbers 24:31)

6. Sojourn in the wilderness

a) Shepherds in the wilderness   (Numbers 24:33)
b) For 40 years… according to the days spying out the land   (Numbers 24:33-34)
c) Bearing the guilt   (Numbers 24:34)
d) They shall know the rejection of the Lord   (Numbers 24:34)

7. Solemn Words

a) “I, the LORD, have spoken”   (Numbers 24:35)
b) I will surely do so to all this evil congregation who are gathered against Me
(Numbers 24:35)
c) In this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die   (Numbers 24:35)

DIVINE JUSTICE

1. Death of the Ten Spies

They died by a plague sent by the LORD   (Numbers 24:37)

2. Preserved alive

Joshua and Caleb remained alive   (Numbers 24:38)
