VISION OF THE MALE GOAT

1. Male goat

b) Across the surface of the whole earth

c) Without touching the ground

d) A notable horn between his eyes

2. Attacked the Ram with two horns

a) Ran at the ram with furious power Daniel 8:7

b) Rage of the male goat

c) Broke the two horns of the ram

d) Ram totally overpowered by the male goat

e) Change of imagery from Bear to Ram with two horns

f) Wisdom of change of imagery

i) A male goat may attack a ram (bear)

ii) But a male goat attacking a bear would be far-fetched

3. Greatness of the Male Goat

a) Grew very great and strong Daniel 8:8

b) Great horn broken

c) Four notable ones emerged Daniel 8:8c

4. Historical notation concerning the Male Goat with the large horn

a) Alexander the Great (356-323 BC)

b) Taught by Aristotle till he was 16 years old

c) Succeeded his father to the throne in 336 BC (Philip of Macedon)

d) Invaded Asia Minor (ruled by Persia)

e) He fought for 10 years and finally took over the Persian Empire

f) He invaded India in 326 BC

g) He died in Babylon in 323 BC

h) A series of wars took place among his generals for several years

a) Greece and Macedonia went to Antigonus
