Dear Parents,

SO MUCH WICKEDNESS IN THE WORLD
The media remind us that wickedness is rampant in the world. Daily, we read in the newspapers about horrendous crimes being committed. We must guard against discouragement of our souls.

When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increases;
But the righteous will see their fall.

Proverbs 29:16

1. The stark realities of life

a) Wickedness exists (allowed by God).

b) Wickedness may even be “multiplied”.

c) Transgression can also “increase”.

2. But there must not be despair

a) We must teach our children to have stronger spirits.

b) We must point them to cultivate an even greater faith.

c) We must encourage them to see things in a more positive light.

3. The righteous

a) We must ever guide our children to choose righteousness.

b) We must always point them to trust in the Lord in all circumstances.

c) We must give them hope.

4. The fate of the wicked

a) They will never prevail completely.

b) Sooner or later justice will prevail.

c) Righteousness will prevail over wickedness; and the wicked will fall!
