Behold, I Come to Do Your Will

PROPHECY AND FULFILMENT

1. The Prophecy Portion requires the following: –

b) Divine Power

2. The Fulfilment Portion requires the following: –

a) Human understanding
b) Human Will in compliance
c) Human Action

DETERMINATION TO DO GOD’S WILL AT THE OUTSET

1. When He came into the world   (Hebrews 10:5)

2. He said   (Hebrews 10:7)

a) Behold, I have come
b) In the volume of the book it is written of Me-
c) To do Your will

3. The Determination of the Messiah was noted

a) Not written in the Gospels
b) Revealed by the Spirit
c) Demonstrated in the Gospels

THE STRUGGLE BETWEEN THE WILL OF GOD AND THE HUMAN WILL

1. Prayer

“Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”   Matthew 6:10

2. Prayer in Gethsemane

a) “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me”   Matthew 26:39
b) “Nevertheless, not as I will, but Yours be done”   Matthew 26:39
c) “O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me
Unless I drink it, Your will be done”   Matthew 26:42

COMPLIANCE WITH COURAGE

1. Behold the hour is at hand   (Matthew 26:45)

2. And the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners   (Mathew 26:45)
