(I) THE DANGER OF FALLING INTO DEPRESSION

a) Sinking into deep mire ( Psalm 69:2 )

b) Flood waters overflowing ( Psalm 69:2 )

a) Weary with crying despite waiting on God ( Psalm 69:3 )

b) Shameful ( Psalm 69:7 )

c) Full of heaviness ( Psalm 69:20 )

d) Poor and sorrowful ( Psalm 69:29 )

a) Personal sin ( Psalm 69:5 )

b) Afflicted by Enemies

(II) FACTORS THAT FORTIFY US TO PRAISE THE LORD

1. Prayer

a) Praying according to the Lord’s mercies ( Psalm 69:13, 16 )

b) Praying for deliverance ( Psalm 69:1, 18 )

c) Praying with hope ( Psalm 69:3 )
