Walk as Children of Light

(I) UNDERSTANDING THE CHRISTIAN WALK

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

2. Prepared

(II) A PLEA TO WALK WORTHY

“I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.” Ephesians 4:1

1. A plea from a “prisoner of the Lord”

2. A plea to walk worthy of God’s calling

(III) PLEA TO TOTALLY FORSAKE THE FORMER WAYS

“This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind” Ephesians 4:17

1. The Gentile Walk… the futility of their mind

2. The Gentile Walk to totally forsaken

(IV) PLEA TO WALK AS CHILDREN OF LIGHT

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” Ephesians 5:8

1. The Walk of Children of Darkness

a) Understanding darkened ( Ephesians 4:18 )

b) Unfruitful works ( Ephesians 5:11 )

“…you were once darkness…” Ephesians 5:8

2. The Walk of Children of Light

a) Appreciation

“…you are light in the Lord…” Ephesians 5:8

b) Admonition

“…Walk as children of light” Ephesians 5:8

(V) FRUIT OF WALKING IN THE LIGHT

“For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth” Ephesians 5:9
