A Stirring Example of Walking with God

(I) COMMENCING A CLOSE WALK WITH GOD

“For all people walk each in the name of his god;
But we will walk in the name of the LORD our God.”
Micah 4:5

1. Customary

For people to walk “each in the name of his god” ( Micah 4:5a )

2. Challenge

For those who profess faith in God to “walk in the name of the LORD our God” Micah 4:5b

(II) COMPREHENSION OF WHAT IT MEANS TO WALK WITH GOD

(ENOCH: A STIRRING EXAMPLE OF WALKING WITH GOD)

1. Commencement of a Walk with God

“Enoch lived sixty five years and begot Methuselah
After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years,
And begot sons and daughters”
Genesis 5:21-22

a) At a mature age

2. Consistency of Walk with God noted

a) An unblemished relationship with God

b) An unbroken relationship with God

3. Commendation of Enoch

“So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty five years.

And Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him” Genesis 5:23-24
