WALK WORTHY OF THE CALLING
(I) WE HAVE A GLORIOUS CALLING
1. We need to comprehend the hope of His calling better (Ephesians 1:18)
a) Understanding to be prayed for
b) Comprehending the meaning of the phrase
“The Riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints” Ephesians 1:18
2. Some Features of God’s calling (Ephesians 1:3-14)
a) Blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3)
b) The riches of His grace (Ephesians 1:7)
c) The mystery of His will (Ephesians 1:9)
d) We have obtained an inheritance (Ephesians 1:11)
e) Sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13)
(II) WALK WORTHY
1. Walk worthy of the calling with which you were called (Ephesians 4:1)
The personal aspect:-
a) Not to take God’s calling for granted
b) But to appreciate His calling
c) To fathom His calling at a deeper level
d) To realize His calling in real life
2. Called in one hope of your calling (Ephesians 4:4-6)
The ecclesiastical aspect:-
a) One body
b) One Spirit
c) One hope of our calling
d) One Lord
e) One faith
f) One baptism
g) One God and Father of all
(III) CHALLENGED TO WALK WORTHY OF GOD’S CALLING
1. Fulfilment of the Personal aspects of God’s Calling
2. Fulfilment of the Ecclesiastical aspect of God’s Calling
