a) People who seek to turn glory into shame ( Psalm 4:2a )

b) People who love worthless things ( Psalm 4:2b )

c) People who practise falsehood ( Psalm 4:2c )

d) People who are discouraging ( Psalm 4:6a )

(II) EFFECTIVELY BATTLING DISTRESS IN LIFE

“Hear me, when I call, O God of my righteousness…” Psalm 4:1a

1. Calling out to God in prayer (Psalm 4:1a)

2. Pleading mercy (Psalm 4:1b)

3. Believing that God has set apart those who are godlY (Psalm 4:3a)

4. Believing that God will hear when the righteous cry out to Him (Psalm 4:3b)

5. Meditating till the heart is still (Psalm 4:4)

6. Offering sacrifices of righteousness (Psalm 4:5a)

7. Exercising trust in God (Psalm 4:5b)
