THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

AN IMPORTANT STATEMENT

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,
Full of grace and truth.”   John 1:14

1. Glory to be seen in the Incarnation of Christ
And the Word became flesh

a) Jesus was the Living Word of God
b) He put on human flesh
c) He dwelt on earth and among His disciples

2. Glory beheld by all the Disciples who followed Jesus

a) Unique glory
b) Unique as His position of “the only begotten of the Father”

3. Glory seen in two special qualities

a) Grace
i) In its fulness
ii) Demonstrated to many who were terrible sinful
b) Truth
i) No one spoke and taught like the Lord Jesus
ii) His deep insights reflected the glory of God

CELEBRATING THE BIRTH OF THE LORD JESUS
