(I) THE VISION OF THE DRY BONES (EZEKIEL 37)

1. Dry Bones

A reference to the spiritual state of ancient Israel/Judah ( Ezekiel 37:1-2 )

2. A Divine Query

“And He said to me, ‘Son of man, can these bones live?’ ” Ezekiel 37:3

(II) VIEWING A GLORIOUS DIVINE MIRACLE

1. Sinews, flesh, bones came together (Ezekiel 37:7-8)

2. Breath was given (Ezekiel 37:9-10)

3. An exceedingly great army arose (Ezekiel 37:11)

(III) SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS VISION FOR ISRAEL

1. Acknowledging of God

“Then you shall know that I am the LORD…” Ezekiel 37:13

“Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it, says the LORD.” Ezekiel 37:14

a) God’s power

b) God’s word

c) God’s keeping of His word

2. Oneness

a) One nation ( Ezekiel 37:22 )

b) One King ( Ezekiel 37:22, 24 )

c) One Shepherd ( Ezekiel 37:25-26 )

d) One God ( Ezekiel 37:27 )

e) One sanctuary ( Ezekiel 37:28 )

(IV) SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS VISION FOR THE CHURCH

1. Inspiration to believe in God and His commitment to His people

2. Instruction to practise this spirit of oneness

3. Impacting of the heart as we ponder Divine power at work
